TALK ABOUT FASHION SEASONS
The fashion seasons are periods during which new clothing, accessories, and footwear collections for the following year are presented. There are four fashion seasons:
- Autumn/Winter: between February and March, ahead of the autumn season. Designers showcase their warmer and darker creations like coats, jackets, sweaters, and heavy trousers. The color palette usually includes warm tones like brown, red, and gold.
- Spring/Summer: between September and October, ahead of the spring season. Designers present their lighter and colorful creations such as light dresses, skirts, tops, and lightweight trousers. The color palette typically includes cool tones like green, blue, and pastel pinks.
- Pre-Fall: between December and January, ahead of the autumn season. Designers showcase intermediate creations between Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer, like wool jackets, sweaters, and dresses.
- Cruise: between November and December, ahead of the summer season. Designers present their holiday creations, including light dresses, swimwear, and summer accessories.
Fashion seasons are significant events in the fashion world that set trends and styles for the following year. These events are closely followed by industry professionals, buyers, stylists, and fashion enthusiasts.
