The project revolves around the concept of sustainable fashion, engaging in a dialogue with the city and nature for a new shared ethos. The students were tasked with creating genuine artistic exhibitions on the subject of the environment and recycling, reutilizing exclusively fabrics and garments that had already been produced in order to give them a new life, in accordance with the sustainability of planet Earth, and pursuing the objective of social and environmental justice.
Five of the most important international textile companies were involved in the project, namely Pinto, Mantero, Ratti, Colombo Industrie Tessili, and Stamperia Lipomo, in order to create virtuous synergies in a project that places Fashion, Sustainability, Art, and Innovation at its core.
Furthermore, fashion designer Tiziano Guardini, journalist and art critic Angelo Crespi, and professors Riccardo Carrapa and Raffaella Ferrari were involved, along with the students of the Academy who had the opportunity to contribute to the design, setup, and final exhibition phase.
