Develop your skills in pattern making and women’s clothing construction with an intensive training program. The Pattern Making Womenswear Course will guide you in acquiring the fundamental technical skills needed to create two-dimensional paper patterns, prototypes, and finished garments, combining different approaches.

With a duration of 180 hours, the course is designed for those who want to learn the basic techniques for creating women’s garments, from model design to final construction. Through a practical and targeted approach, you will acquire the essential skills to tackle the prototyping of various types of dresses with creativity and professionalism.

Programme

1. Pattern Making Fundamentals

Introduction to pattern making, including an explanation of size charts and how to take body measurements for women’s wear. Creation of basic patterns such as the pencil skirt and drafting of templates in size 42.

2. Garment Construction Techniques

Learning to use the sewing machine, with industrial finishing and construction of skirts and trousers. Development of pockets, closures, and sartorial details.

3. Dress Construction

Semi-artisanal design and construction of a complete dress, from pattern selection and development to the application of garment-making techniques.

Target Audience

This course is intended for individuals with a strong interest and inclination toward the technical aspects of fashion. It is ideal for those who wish to deepen their practical skills in designing and constructing women’s garments, with a special focus on pattern creation and prototype development.

Learning Objectives

Students will acquire professional skills in women’s pattern making and garment construction, as well as expertise in the development of women’s prêt-à-porter fashion.
