Starting from the study of contemporary Italian fashion, which embodies the country’s rich tradition of culture and innovation, the goal is to explore and reinterpret this heritage of knowledge and technical skills with a bold and unconventional approach to design, visual communication, and fashion marketing.
The students explored production processes and ancient materials, as well as artisanal and cutting-edge techniques drawn from art, architecture, and design to shape their creative vision. Designers revisited mosaics, lace, inlays, weaves, and appliqué, along with carpentry techniques, metallic embroidery, and laser cutting, to freely and inventively express their creative identity. They embraced a responsible and circular approach through eco-design practices, upcycling, and recycling.
Styling and communication students experimented with costume manipulation techniques from cinema and theater to craft fresh and exclusive visual narratives.
Fashion business students collaborated with an Italian B-Corp-certified leader in the cosmetics industry to develop marketing strategies that highlighted its regenerative approach. They also partnered with the Poldi Pezzoli Museum to create witty, AI-powered social media campaigns aimed at engaging even the youngest audiences with its collection of masterpieces.
Many textile companies and artisans generously collaborated with the students in the creation of their collections: Archetipo Tessuti, Artemisia Bio, Bottonificio Lenzi 1955, Carpenteria Fabio Guerra, ColorSystem, F.lli Serughetti, Lampo, Limonta, Maeko Tessuti & Filati, Manifattura di Domodossola, Mosaicista Raffaella Tosi, Niggeler & Küpfer Textile, Olmetex, Produce Sinapsi, Stamperia di Lipomo.
